Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and include:

demonstrating an understanding of rules and regulations as they apply to road users

demonstrating an understanding of the purpose of road rules

identifying other road users

reading, interpreting and following relevant instructions, procedures and information

using basic interpersonal and communication skills (including listening, questioning, receiving feedback).


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all of the requirements of the elements and performance criteria and include knowledge of:

applicable road regulations and legislation

consequences of not adhering to road rules including:

economic impact

emotional reaction

financial effect

legal repercussions

physical injury

social repercussions

risk factors and how they affect driver performance

road users including:

cyclists and skaters

farm vehicles

heavy commercial vehicles

mobility scooters

other drivers

passengers

pedestrians

segways.
